It has been told that if you know about diabetes, you might be knowing all about medicine and diseases. Similarly studying diabetes with a 'disease-focus' means studying everything about 'molecular medicine'. Except for PCR-based and Elisa-based studies, there is lack of expertise and human-resource skill in India, when you talk about insulin signaling, molecular pathogenesis of diabetes and drug-discovery challenges. A site is under construction to offer consultancy in this specialised area to scientists, pharmacologists, drug discovery personnel and students.
